It’s an eyeshadow today – the middle shade from the No. 7 Good Earth trio.
(I like what you did with the door today, Boots!)
This is a very neutral colour, again understandably catering to the masses.
It’s nice and silky to apply but you really need to build it up to get decent coverage. You can do this either by wetting the brush before you pick up the product or apply several coats. This is the case even if you use a decent primer like Benefit’s Stay Don’t Stray which gives you a blank canvas and brings out the best in any eyeshadow. You still don’t get reasonable coverage without building it up.
It’s a nice colour when it is on. As I say, it’s fairly neutral but would mix nicely with greens, browns, golds, oranges or reds.
It did tend to flake and drop a little, both initially on application and as the day went on but that may be because I used so much to get decent coverage.
Without a primer it lasted from 8.30am to around 4pm, so it’s average in terms of staying power (aside from the annoying flaking).
I’m not overly impressed with this, all in all. I wouldn’t buy it.
Amazability factor: 4/10 (meh)
