Look Fantastic Advent Calendar 2015 Review. Day 12.

Today we’ve got something else that’s right up my street. It’s Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist – 15ml so worth £3.60 based on the price of a 100ml bottle.

I’ve already told you I love florals and this smells absolutely gorgeous. It’s just pure rose in a bottle! Wonderful.

The packaging and bottle are beautiful too – I think the bottle looks a bit like a lightbulb.

The instructions say: “Lightly mist onto face or mist into hands and gently press onto the skin” so I try both. As I say, it smells beautiful so when applied to my hands they’re left smelling lovely but I don’t really see any benefit to applying it there.

On the face, it’s a different matter. I have tried this with and without makeup on. I closed my eyes and sprayed twice gently all over my face. Loooooooooovely! The fine mist dries on the skin quickly, without leaving any residue. I’m pleased to report that it didn’t affect my makeup either, so you’re safe applying it (from a little distance away to create a fine mist) at any time of day – on bare skin or over makeup.

It’s very cooling and refreshing and it hasn’t even been in the fridge. I think this would be wonderful to have to hand in the summer and I’d definitely keep it in the fridge …when it wasn’t in my handbag! I also think it would be lovely to spray onto your wrists or the back of your neck, to help you to cool down. Spraying it on your wrists would have a dual benefit. It would help cool you down and because you’re spraying the pulse points, the beautiful fragrance would be diffused and amplified.

You could also use it post-exercise if you’re a bit hot and sweaty. It would certainly help cool you down and surely it’s much better to be (literally) smelling of roses!! 😉

8.5/10 (me likey!)
