Sorry for the late posting!
It’s Caudalie’s Hand & Nail Cream today – a 30ml tube worth £4.00.
My current fave hand cream is Crabtree & Evelyn’s Citron Hand Therapy – it’s thick and luxurious, smells fantastic and leaves your hands feeling super soft. The only ‘problem’ (it’s not much of a problem) is that it leaves a residue on your hands for a while so I tend to save it for bedtime.
This Caudalie cream is different. It smells nice – fruity and fresh – my hands feel soft immediately, but it doesn’t leave the same sort of residue behind. It sinks in straight away.
That said, it doesn’t go as far as the Crabtree & Evelyn cream. You need to use more of it. I also think the fragrance of Citron hand therapy (and Crabtree & Evelyn’s Rosewater) takes some beating. The Caudalie cream smells to me a little like grapefruit. It’s nice, but not Hand Therapy nice!
The ingredients list is peppered with lots of little asterisks indicating various plant derivatives – it seems to be a very natural product.
I think the two may compliment each other – like a day and night cream. I’d save the Crabtree & Evelyn one for bedtime and keep Caudalie in my handbag.
7.5/10 – nice.
